The Grammy Awards (originally called the Gramophone Awards)--or "Grammys"--are presented annually by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences of the United States for outstanding achievements in the record industry. The award show is normally held in February. The 49th Grammy Awards ceremony took place on February 11, 2007 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. In 2008 the 50th Grammy Awards will take place on February 10 again at the Staples Center. Nominations were announced on December 6, 2007.

Most of Grammy winners are based on sales and votes of the same producers that produce albums like Britney's or Milly Vanilli so they vote for them or their friends, the classical musicians just vote for the classical artists that do the same Ludwig Van or Vivaldi did just play and replay those oldies in the classic music, let's say the Grammys does not represent or give a fuck about coolness or musical virtuosos, Philip Glass does not have a Grammy and his music represent so much for so many people, Britney has!
