Profile Information

I'm a:
Fan, Producer, Musician, Recording Artist
Musical + Literary + Cinematic + Artistic Influences:
My influences are too numerous to catalogue. All music from the 1960's to the present day. Blues, Prog and electronica.
Classic English and other literature:
Thomas Hardy, Herman Hesse, Gabriel Garcia Remarques, Dorris Lessing, Jean Paul Satre, Carl Jung to name but a few.
I studied and practiced Fine Art in my youth but was put off by diabloical, pretentious tutors who had less ability than me!
About Me:
I have long been interested in Buddhism and other eastern spiritual practices.
I have practiced Transcendental Meditation on and off since 1978.
I played guitar since the age of 14 but this has now been superseded by electronic music production since about 2013.
Electronic, ambient, deep, dub techno, field recording, soundscapes.

It's going down down down...  to be replaced by a boring Squarespace site.  Only crickets and me hanging out up this…

Shinichi Atobe – From The Heart, It’s A Start, A Work Of Art

Epic EP this one, been playing a few tracks the last few weeks on the show. Review from Boomkat This album has its origins 17 yeas ago in early 2000, before Chain Reaction released the legendary Ship-Scope 12”. Three of the tracks here are taken from an acetate cut at Dubplates & Mastering at that...

BJika EP 002

The second EP from Bjika sees an increase tempo, delivering deep techno rollers at 122 bpm. Bjika carefully programmes each synth sound from scratch then runs them through individually tailored effects patches to draw out the essence of each sound over time. There is plenty more in the pipeline. Mastered by GenDnb. EP 002 by...

Docetism – Beskidy [nichts32]

New dubby material from Docetism. Beskidy (eng. Beskids or Beskid Mountains) is a name for discontinuous series of mostly forested mountain ranges in the Carpathians that lay in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Ukraine. Each track was inspired by a different experience on one of many trails of Beskidy. Hiking is not just a recreational...

Self Reflection (Original Mix)

Consciousness is not in the body; the body is in Consciousness. And you are that Consciousness – not that phantom mind that troubles you so. You are the body, but you are everything else, too. Only the mind resists change. When you relax mindless into the body, you are happy and content and free, sensing...

Polarity by FOCAL

From the passionate lands of France, Arnaud Galoppe, known as Focal and Kinosura, has hand-mixed an emotional labyrinth of dark techno and melancholy ambience in Ultimae’s latest compilation. Polarity is a double-sided conglomerate of electronic expressions from all over the world, spanning across atmospheric soundworlds of intimate drone and deep, industrial progressions. This collection of...
